Vitamin D deficiency seems to be reaching alarming
proportions in the world, with about 65-70 per cent of people affected by the
deficiency. And this despite people getting enough sunshine. It is also
observed that high level of Vitamin D deficiency increases the risk of
diabetes, coronary heart disease, hypertension and other cardiovascular
diseases.

foods that you can perhaps include in your everyday diet:
Cereals: Include fortified
low-calorie multi grain cereals, which are a source of Vitamin D, in your daily diet.
Egg yolks: First check your
cholesterol level and consult your nutritionist before you start taking egg
yolk as a source of your daily intake of Vitamin D. You can include eggs in all your
meals.
Soy Milk: If you don't like cow milk,
go for soy milk. Check the label to see if it has Vitamin D.
Cheese: Rustle up some delicious
dishes with Ricotta which is believed to be the richest source of Vitamin D.

Orange juice: A glass of fortified
orange juice at breakfast every morning can be your daily dose of Vitamin D.
